Ralph’s Radio in Vancouver and Victoria has been selling and installing backup cameras for a long time now. Our company was instantly drawn to this category for the safety benefit. A well-designed backup camera solution does a great job of helping to eliminate your blind spot while you’re in reverse.
Over the years, we have seen more and more products come to market that have allowed us to improve our clients’ ability to back up safely. Unfortunately, we have also seen the market flooded with low-quality products that don’t meet our high standards. Rest assured, when you trust your vehicle to us, we promise to give you a solution that looks and performs like it was installed from the factory. We back it up by matching the OEM vehicle warranty. That is why many of the new car dealers in Vancouver trust their clients’ vehicles to us.
Backup Camera Styles
When you come to see us, our team of highly trained staff will work with you to find the best backup camera solution for your needs. That means we don’t offer a cookie-cutter approach, but rather, a myriad of solutions to give you a product that improves not only safety, but also resale value.
Some of our popular solutions include license plate style, lip mounting, spare tire mounting (for Jeeps), tailgate handle locations, replacement truck and hatch handles with integrated cameras, plus roof-mount models for commercial applications. More and more of our solutions also have the option of active parking lines that will “steer” with the vehicle, letting you see what is in your projected path. As you can see, Ralph’s Radio is sure to have a solution that will work well for you.
Many Display Options
Once you decide you want a backup camera, the next step is figuring out how to display the image. We have four popular options for our clients:
1. Integrating with Factory Screens
If your vehicle came equipped with a color screen in the dash, the chances are good that our team can integrate the camera image to display right there, giving you a factory-looking solution.
2. Replacement rear view mirror
Another popular solution is replacing your existing rearview mirror with a model that has an embedded LCD monitor. Whenever the vehicle is placed in reverse, the camera image comes to life, displaying it in a convenient, ergonomic location.
3. Upgraded Stereo Systems
If you drive an older vehicle that you still enjoy or have a lower trim level on a newer model, upgrading the existing stereo system in your dash may be a great solution. You will now have a color touchscreen that can display your backup camera, as well as add any of these exciting technologies: GPS navigation, CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, HD radio, SiriusXM, USB ports and – of course – upgraded sound quality.
4. Stand-alone Monitor Solutions
Commercial and fleet vehicles are great candidates for our stand-alone monitor solutions. We have multiple sizes available and all of them are designed to handle the abuse only a vehicle like this endures.
